What can you do to help your puppy feel better the first week with YOU!
- Provide a place that is quiet, so your puppy can sleep. He is used to his sisters and brothers up against him or her.
- Give your puppy a nice comfortable bed with some kind of soft toy to snuggle with.
- Take your puppy outside to the same spot to use the bathroom. If the puppy does use the bathroom, make sure to reward the puppy.
- Make sure to keep your new puppy in a puppy proof area, so the puppy is safe and feels secure.
- Make sure to introduce the puppy to family members one at a time, so you do not overwhelm the puppy.
- Make sure to give your puppy some puppy chew toys, since they love to chew on things.
- Make sure to keep a good eye on your puppy and keep the puppy safe. Your new puppy is a baby.
- When your puppy cries, go and check on the puppy and make sure everything is good.
- Make sure to feed and water your new puppy on a set schedule.
- Getting a new puppy is not easy, but within a few weeks your puppy will love you more than anything.
